There’s More Than One Way to Fall for Italy

When most people start dreaming about an Italy trip, three cities usually come to mind: Venice. Florence. Rome.

And for good reason.

Venice gives you winding canals, gondola rides and streets that seem to lead somewhere new around every corner. Florence puts you right in the middle of Renaissance history, incredible art and some seriously good food. And then there’s Rome—with ancient history, incredible architecture and enough things to see and do to keep you busy for days.

For a first trip to Italy, the classic route is a classic for a reason.

But Italy is so much bigger than the Big 3.

What If You Did Italy a Little Differently?

Maybe you picture yourself sipping limoncello while overlooking the coast in Sorrento.

Maybe you'd rather spend a few days exploring Naples, eating authentic Neapolitan pizza and soaking up the energy of one of Italy's most fascinating cities.

Or perhaps you have your heart set on the colorful villages and dramatic coastline of Cinque Terre.

Then there are the rolling hills and vineyards of Tuscany, the food and slower pace of Puglia, the incredible landscapes of Sicily, or destinations like Lake Como, Bologna and the Dolomites.

There are so many ways to experience Italy—and travelers are increasingly looking beyond the traditional itinerary to discover them.

Which is exactly what makes planning an Italy trip so exciting.

And sometimes, a little overwhelming.

So... Where Would You Go?

There isn't one "right" way to do Italy. The best itinerary depends on what you want to experience.

🏛️ The Classics

Venice → Florence → Rome

If it's your first time in Italy, this combination gives you an incredible introduction to the country.

Three very different cities. Three very different experiences. And plenty of those iconic Italy moments you've probably been dreaming about.

🍷 The "I've Been to Italy Before"

Puglia → Sicily → Tuscany

Maybe you've already checked the biggest Italian cities off your list—or maybe you're simply looking for a different kind of Italy.

This type of trip can put more emphasis on regional food and wine, local culture, beautiful countryside and experiencing a destination at a slower pace.

And that's just scratching the surface.

You could build an entire trip around northern Italy. Explore the Dolomites. Spend time around Lake Como. Discover Bologna's food scene. Head south to Sicily.

🌊 The Coast

Sorrento → Amalfi Coast → Naples

If coastal scenery, incredible food and a little more time to slow down sound like your kind of vacation, this could be the direction for you.

Think dramatic views, seaside towns, ancient history and plenty of opportunities to linger over a long Italian meal.

There are a lot of really good choices.

And that's where the fun can turn into a lot of research.

Italy Is on My Own Bucket List, Too

I'll admit it—Italy is one of those destinations that I could probably plan a dozen different trips to and still have places left to explore.

And that's part of what makes it such a great destination.

But you don't need to become an expert in Italian geography, transportation, hotels, tours and itineraries just to figure out where you want to go.

That's where I come in.

My job isn't to throw every possible Italian destination at you and let you sort through the options yourself.

It's to listen to what you want from your trip, help you narrow down the possibilities and build an itinerary that actually makes sense for you.

Because your vacation shouldn't feel like another research project.

Italy is too good to experience through a spreadsheet.

There are so many incredible ways to experience this country, and you don't have to figure out which one is right for you on your own.

If Italy has been sitting on your travel wish list, let's start talking about what you want your trip to feel like.

You bring the dream. I'll help you figure out the rest.
